It’s a seriously easy, super fun, wont-break-the-bank way to spoil and delight your loved ones this year!
All you need are some beautiful pure essential oils – like the ones we use here – and depending on which gift your decide to make you may need some roller bottles, jars, and other natural products. We have listed all the info on where to source these at the bottom of this post.

Whipped Body Butter
Who doesn’t love soft, moisturised, and healthy skin? The butters and oils used in this recipe are the perfect combination that will leave your skin moisturized for days after applying. Customise your whipped body butter with any essential oil of your choice.
Ingredients
- ½ cup shea butter
- ½ cup cocoa butter
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ½ cup Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 15 drops Grapefruit
- 15 drops Wild Orange
Instructions
- Measure all butters and oils in glass jar.
- Fill a large skillet/saucepan with one to one and a half inches of water. Bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, add the glass jar to the center of the saucepan to melt and combine ingredients.
- Stir every few minutes until the ingredients are melted and combined. (10–15 minutes)
Tip: Use a popsicle stick to stir for easy cleanup. - Once everything is melted, remove from heat and let sit for 5–10 minutes. Add desired essential oils.
- Once essential oils are added, let it rest in a cool place (such as the refrigerator) until it has set.
- Once chilled, take out of refrigerator. With a stand or hand mixer, start on low and slowly turn the speed higher until the lotion becomes light and fluffy (around 3–5 minutes).
Note: Store mixture in a glass jar and keep in a cool place. If needed, re-fluff the body butter by whipping it back up to the desired consistency with a hand mixture.
Fizzing Bath Bombs
- 1 cup citric acid
- 1 cup baking soda
- ½ cup cornstarch
- ½ cup Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 8–10 drops favorite essential oil
- In bowl, place citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch, and oil.
- Add eight to 10 drops of the essential oil or blend of choice.
- Mix well with spoon until soft dough is formed. It should have the consistency of damp sand.
Note: If the mixture is too wet, try adding a little more baking soda and cornstarch until consistency is correct. - At this point, you may add food coloring, dried herbs, or flower petals to mixture.
- Place mixture in silicone molds. Let sit 24 hours before removing from mould.
- To use, drop in tub or shower and allow to dissolve.
DIY Lotion Bars
- ⅔ cup beeswax
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ½ cup cocoa butter
- 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
- 15 drops of doTERRA essential oil
- Measure all ingredients, except for essential oils, in large glass jar.
- Place jar in saucepan with one to one and a half inches of boiling water.
- Stir ingredients until combined.
- Once melted, remove from heat. Let rest three minutes.
- Add essential oils and stir.
- Pour mixture into silicone mold.
Tip: For an exfoliating lotion bar, add oatmeal to the bottom of the mold.
- Let mixture harden two to three hours. Wrap in plastic wrap and store in container until ready to use.
- Massage lotion bar on skin for moisture.
DIY Candy Cane Sugar Scrub
- ¾ cup organic white sugar
- ½ cup Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 12 drops Peppermint Oil
- Natural Skin safe food colouring
- Combine sugar and Fractionated Coconut Oil in bowl.
- Divide mixture equally into two bowls.
- In one bowl, add red skin safe food coloring.
- Layer red and white scrub to create a ‘candy cane’ effect.
Heavenly Epsom Bath Salts
Is there nothing more blissful and relaxing than a long soak in the tub? It’s a beautiful act of self love and a must on many peoples self – care rituals! You will also get the therapeutic benefits of the oil during your bath – how good is that?! we love Lavender for calming, Clary sage to support hormones, Frankincense for relaxation… the combos are endless!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Epsom Salts (you can even mix in some Himalayan salts)
- 6 drops of your choice of essential Oils (we love lavender, clary sage, geranium, frankincense – or citrus bliss to invigorate!)
- 1 tbs Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 1 tbs dried flowers like Chamomile – (you can easily find organic dried flowers at your local health or bulkfoods store)
- Add Epsom salt and Fractionated Coconut Oil in a bowl
- Add your choice of Essential Oils and stir through.
- Top with the dried flowers and then place into a glass jar and shake!
- Draw yourself a warm bath and add ¼– cup of the Bath Salt Mixture to the bath.
Empowered Goddess ‘Pure-fumes’ or Manly ‘Bro-lognes’
Did you know that synthetic perfumes are some of the most toxic beauty products out there laced with ingredients including parabens, phtlhates, allergens and neurotoxins? These can seriously disrupt your endocrine system, hormones, metabolism and overall health! They usually contain the ingredient ‘fragrance’ which can actually contain up to 3000 chemicals in that one ingredient! CRAZY!
You can make your own ‘purefumes’ and ‘brolognes’ made from pure Essential Oils and a carrier oil. These purefumes made from pure essential oils smell delicious and they don’t contain any nasty toxic fragrances that is harmful to both the environment and your health. So luxe and so beautiful, these gorgeous blends contain health and emotional benefits too!
Here are some of our fave blends, but you can experiment and come up with your own! (based on a 10ml rollerbottle topped with Fractionated Coconut Oil)
- Calm Mama: 2 drops Ylang Ylang, 2 drops Sandalwood, 2 drops Geranium and 2 drops Lavender
- Hello lover: 5 drops Passion 5 drops and 5 drops Whisper
- Heavenly Pure-fume: 2 drops Ylang Ylang, 4 drops Patchouli, 4 drops Grapefruit
- For men: 5 drops Bergamot, 5 drops Lime, 3 drops Frankincense and 2 drops Hawaiian Sandalwood
Aromatherapy Playdough
Such a cute gift for any of the little loves in your life! To keep it non toxic, source some natural food colourings or use spurulina for green, beetroot powder for pink etc.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups coloured water
- 1 cup salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 5 drops essential oils
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients, except for essential oils, in a large saucepan and stir until combined.
- Once combined, put over medium heat. Using a spatula, continue to stir ingredients together until it forms a ball.
Note: Don’t overcook as it will lead to dry play dough. - Remove from heat and cool on parchment paper.
- Once cool, add five drops of your favorite essential oil and knead until thoroughly combined.
- You’re done! Just store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for months of fun.
Super Simple Coffee Scrub
Get your skin summer ready with an antioxidant-rich coffee scrub, infused with the amazing benefits of essential oils!
- 40g coffee beans (if you want a gentler scrub, use fine coffee grounds)
- 100g sodium bicarbonate
- 20g coconut oil
- 50g raw honey
- 100g raw sugar
- 5-8 drops of your favourite essential oils
Recommended essential oils: Citrus Bliss, Wild Orange, Lime, Sandalwood, Lavender, Grapefruit
Instructions
- Add coffee, sodium bicarbonate, coconut oil and honey to a high speed blender and blitz for 30 seconds on high speed (longer if you want an even finer scrub).
- Pour into a bowl.
- Add the sugar and mix with a wooden spoon until well combined.
- Transfer to a container or jar.
- Use in shower on wet skin. Massage in a circular motion on entire body.
- Store away from direct sunlight.
DIY Lip Balm
Making lip balm can be simple! Try this easy DIY lip balm that is moisturising and healthy for your lips.
Ingredients
- 30ge beeswax
- 30g coconut oil
- 15g shea butter
- 15g cocoa butter
- 20 drops Peppermint oil
- 10 drops Lavender Oil

- Line up empty containers. If using a lip balm stick, make sure it ihas been twisted down.
- Measure butters and oils and place in glass jar.
- Fill a large saucepan with 1–1 ½ inches of water and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, add glass jar to center of saucepan.
- Stir every few minutes until ingredients are melted and combined.
- Once wax is melted, remove from heat and let sit 3 minutes then add essential oils.
- Pour mixture into lip balm containers and let cool.
If you would like to make tinted lip balm, move to the next two steps.
- Add a pinch of coloured natural mineral makeup until you get your desired colour. Stir until combined.
- Pour tinted lip balm into containers and let cool.
